Music Therapy is an allied health profession in which a trained music therapist assists individuals in improving and/or maintaining their overall quality of living and reaching their fullest potential by systematically using music experiences as the primary therapeutic agent.

Music therapy interventions can be designed to:

  • Promote Wellness
  • Manage Stress
  • Alleviate Pain
  • Express Feelings
  • Enhance Memory
  • Improve Communication
  • Promote Physical Rehabilitation

Research in music therapy supports its effectiveness in a wide variety of healthcare and educational settings.

At Rhythm Garden Music, our board-certified music therapists work with a variety of populations including children and adults with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s/dementia, hospice, and mental health.

In addition to our clinic space, we currently provide home and community based music therapy services for individuals and groups in Greene, Clay, Sullivan, and Vigo Counties.
