Thank you
Hello again everyone (for one last time)! I know I’ve said this just about every time, but I cannot believe that I am already at the end of my internship! It’s hard to put into words just how much I’ve changed and learned while I’ve been here at Rhythm Garden, so instead I’m going to scoot right past that and move onto gratitude for those who helped get me here.
Of course to my supervisors and all the other music therapists I’ve observed along the way – thank you for taking the time to show me how it is that you do what you do (and more importantly, for putting up with my many questions as to why). I really believe that so much of learning in internship is from watching others and then incorporating what from that works for yourself, and I am so grateful to have worked alongside so many different mts that opened my eyes to the true variety of our field.
To all the clients I’ve worked with over the past six months – I almost can’t believe how far we’ve come together. I’ve probably learned more directly from you than from my supervisors (don’t let them know haha). It has been amazing to see how much progress we’ve made over these last months, and I am so grateful to have even had a little part of that. Even though we won’t be working together going forward, know that I am rooting you on from afar always
I am so grateful for my experiences here at Rhythm Garden, and honestly do feel like I am leaving internship prepared for wherever and whoever I end up working with. Looking back I feel like a completely different person and therapist from when I started, and cannot thank everyone enough who helped make that happen. Here’s to being onto the next adventure!!
